Mr. & Mrs Powell | Wedding

When I saw Zach and Michelle for the first time, they were having lunch at the place where I used to work. Zach was a coworker I never actually met and I initially thought they were brother and sister…* face palm* Michelle soon applied at Chick Fil A also. Michelle was soon working along side me. As we became friends, she told me I was “like warm bowl of oatmeal,” but if I were in a sassy mood that was turned into a “spicy bowl of oatmeal” (her words not mine). When Michelle knew her engagement was coming soon, she reached out to me; fully confident that she wanted to hire me because my “warm bowl of oatmeal” personality was a calming presence for her anxiousness.

As soon as Michelle and Zach booked me as their wedding photographer, I enjoyed getting all of the messages from Michelle about the wedding details she was putting together. These details included blue jean jackets embroidered with “‘Til Death,” black bridesmaid dresses, her blue velvet boots, and crowns (they had a crowning ceremony - a special Arabic tradition), and her rings (antique rings always get me)!

I kept looking at my calendar to see how much closer we were to the wedding date because I could not wait. To put icing on the cake, they were getting married at the same place Karry and I got married 2 years prior in the exact same month!
