Mr. & Mrs. Rutledge | Wedding
Carmen is an amazing hairstylist and makeup artist at Hair Impressions in Tuscaloosa, AL. I first met her while shooting a wedding at The Farm in Akron, AL. I didn’t think much of it; it was just another wedding with an amazing H&MUA. Two years later, she reached out to me because it was now her turn to tie the knot. Carmen and Emmett had originally planned their big day for May 2020. Unfortunately, they had to make the heartbreaking decision, like many 2020 brides, to put it off a little longer thanks to a certain global pandemic. They set a beautiful, sunny, August date for their new wedding day.
I could go on and on about the exquisite details of the day: her muted pink roses, the elegant tiered cake, the cozy getting-ready cottage, the balloon archway into the reception hall, the fact that Emmett’s wedding band was Carmen’s dad’s. *cue the tears* From the stunning bride to the epic sunset to the amazing staff at Flagstone Farm…the day was perfect, even for a mid August wedding in Alabama. I can’t wait to capture another session with this couple and to shoot at this venue again in the future.
